Cruse Bereavement Care exists to promote the well-being of bereaved people, and to enable anyone bereaved by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss.

Cruse Bereavement Care was founded in England in 1959 and now has around 200 branches throughout the British Isles.
Cruse Bereavement Care Isle of Man was founded in 1988, and to date has provided
counselling to in excess of 1,000 people. The branch is funded entirely from Manx Grants and Donations. We are a company limited by guarantee and registered with the Isle of Man Government, number 117100C
His Honour Deemster Jack Corrin CBE is the Patron, and Mrs Pat Corrin OBE is the President of Cruse Bereavement Care Isle of Man, which is a Manx Registered Charity, 971.

Bereavement Awareness Training for Schools - organised and presented by our Youth Projects Officer, Gill Skinner. This initiative is currently targeting Year 8& 9 students in PHSE lessons, but we hope to develop this further over thecoming year to include 6th Form and Year 6 at Primary School. Our Youth Projects Officer is also hoping toreach other youth organisations on the Isle of Man including Scouts, Guides etc. For more information, email gillskinner@manx.net or call 668192.
Our Bereavement Support Volunteers and other support workers are volunteers and our work is offered free of charge (except for Bereavement Awareness Training for organisations) asa service to the community.

It is our 21st Anniversary of being in the Isle of Man in 2009 and we are planning a number of events throughout the year to not only generate funds but increase public awareness. These events will be announced later this year

Corporate Event: This is the highlight of our 21st Celebrations and will take place on Friday 18th September 2009 at the Villa Marina. It will take the form of a Black Tie Dinner with entertainment, an auction and a raffle. More details to follow very soon. Perhaps mark it as a date for the diary!
